Italian Macaroni Casserole


  • 1 box whole-wheat elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (extra-lean)
  • 1 15 oz jar spaghetti sauce (reduced-sodium)
  • 1/2 cup onion (diced)
  • 5 tablespoons Parmesan cheese


Cook beef and onions together until full cooked, Drain. Bring a large pot of water to boil and cook pasta for 12 minutes or until tender.
Drain pasta well. Combine cooked pasta, spaghetti sauce and meat, mix well. Coat lightly a medium size baking pan and put mixture in this dish.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake mixture about 30 minutes. Top cooked casserole with parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
